What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Install Outcall 1.4 - Outcall imports my Outlook contacts just fine 2. Install Outcall 1.5 - Outcall doesn't import any contact 3. Install Outcall 1.4 again and it works just fine, except the import filterrule is not there! What is the expected output? What do you see instead? What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? Please provide any additional information below. In the previous forum I was directed to the sales department of Bico. I mailed them and it seems that you have to pay € 1000.00 for the commercial version. Sorry, but then i keep using version 1.4 |

Arend, Is your Outlook using Exchange server? |

Hello Denis, That is correct. My Outlook is configured to retrieve the information from an Exchange server. All items are offline available in the .ost file. Outcall 1.4 displayed the contacts without any problem. I'm a little supriced that the updated version also includes a commercial update. I asked for the possibility. I got an email in which I was told it costs € 1000.00 a year! Why not offer the basic functionality for free (integration with Outlook) and add some additional features that are interesting for commercial users (CRM) who are then willing to pay for it. Now my focus is again on an other products similar to this (www.snapanumber.com) Thanks for your response, Arend |

OutCALL 1.50 uses extended MAPI to load contacts from Outlook, and it does not load contacts from Exchange server (online or offline). Extended MAPI was introduced in OutCALL 1.50, and the reason for this was that with the old version of OutCALL, many people had problems with loading their contacts from Outlook. Other advantage of the extended MAPI is it's speed, and there is no "Outlook Security" dialog anymore. Exchange support is available in the commercial version of OutCALL. Regards, Denis

The contacts are in my Outlook, even if I do not have a connection to the Exchange server. I don't need Outcall to retrieve the contacts from the Exchange server. It is ok to retrieve the contacts from my local Outlook. Regards, Arend |

Does the commercial version use the newer, faster Extended MAPI as well? Does the source code come when you buy the commercial version? What does the commercial version cost? The bicom site is not very informative about these things. |

I got an offer for € 1000.00 per year. This ofcourse is not intersting for me. I use it on just one computer. When I told this to them, I got a question back, what would be a reasonable price. I indicated that other products, like calling circles and snapanumber.com charge about € 30.00 per client (just once). I did not receive an answer yet. |

OutCALL does not load contacts from Personal Address Book. It works only Outlook Contacts only, and it loads local contacts stored in Outlook (PST file), as well as contacts from Global Address List (GAL) from the Exchange Server. What you can do is to export your contacts from Personal Address Book into a CSV file, and import them into Outlook. Regards, Denis |

Hello, I'm using Vista Business 32bit (dutch, completely up to date) and Office 2007. The only account in Outlook is my Exchange mailbox, which is available offline. I'm not getting any errors, but Outcall does not show my contacts. From Outlook, I can dial the contacts. (often the first time dial is een error message: Originate failed! Please check your extensions in Settings-<Extensions, and make sure you are using the right one in the 'Dial From' select box.) When I click on Ok to remove the messagebox and dial immidiate again, the call is accepted. I did not have this problems in V 1.4 Here is the content of my logfile: 03.11.2008 09:29 - ----------------- OutCALL Started -------------------- 03.11.2008 09:30 - Using Mail profile: Outlook 03.11.2008 09:30 - ------------------ LOAD OUTLOOK CONTACTS BEGIN ------------------ 03.11.2008 09:30 - ------------------ LOAD EXCHANGE CONTACTS BEGIN ------------------ 03.11.2008 09:30 - ------------------ LOAD EXCHANGE CONTACTS END ------------------ 03.11.2008 09:30 - ------------------ LOAD OUTLOOK CONTACTS END ------------------ Outcall shows 5 incomplet contacts in the pull down of the dialer. I don't recognize them although my Outlook contains over 100 addresses in the contacts A b b C A d |
