A feature I find incredibly useful in Keypad-Mapper is the ability to "offset" waypoints. Currently, if I'm traveling down a large road, and a fuel station is located on the opposite lane, I'll have to first add the fuel station, then manually add a note saying: left/right.

I think the following features will help add convenience when adding POIs:

  • Holding down and swiping left/right/up/down in succession allows the user to offset a waypoint by a set distance (in settings), and a comment is added to indicate that the waypoint has been offset (left/right/up/down).
  • Double tapping a button allows the user to insert a label/comment with the button- for example the name of the fuel station
  • Tapping then swipping allows a waypoint to be offset with a comment.
