Introduction

  • OSLO shares location between social networks.
  • OSLO enables users to send messages to other OSLO network members
  • OSLO enables users to see who is nearby
  • OSLO shows a minimal profile to untrusted friends
  • OSLO shows a complete profile to trusted friends

Based on the diagram below:

  • alice@aka-aki.com wants to send messages to her friend cindy@rummble.com
  • alice@aka-aki.com wants to send messages to a stranger clive@rummble.com
  • alice is a friend of cindy and trusts cindy@rummble.com to see her location. As she moves around cindy should get updates on her position.

and

  • alice@aka-aki.com wants to see who is nearby her both in aka-aki and in rummble.com networks
  • alice@aka-aki wants to see people within 5km from her be they from aka-aki or rummble.com
  • anne@rummble.com wants to send a message to bob@aka-aki.com because he was a result in her nearby query

and

  • cindy@rummble.com wants non-friends to only see a minimal set of profile information about her when she appears in a nearby query
  • cindy@rummble.com wants friends on other networks to see more details about her once she trusts them
