Oregon is a project dedicated to creating a world-class MMORPG framework.
Originally based on code from the MaNGOS and Trinity projects, Oregon has reached a level of independent development that ensures a unique gaming experience for our active user community. Our goal is to extend our experience in client-server programming by building a server framework to power the World of Warcraft client (patch 2.4.3 - The Burning Crusade). Through our efforts, we hope to enable the client to function precisely as it did when originally released. In addition to extending the server functionality, we continue to revise the original code to correct problems, and bring it to our strict coding standard.
The project consists of extensive C++ code to provide the functional platform, as well as the Oregon database to provide client content.
Oregon encourages our user community to actively participate in the development process. We welcome everyone using our code to communicate any questions, bug reports, or suggestions for improvement.
