OpenT is a 99% Object Oriented Turing (OOT) backward compatible programming language. It was created to address two needs: a free complier for students studying OOT in highschools and the need for a more complete compiler that can easily be integrated into the DWITE system.

OpenT will also bring about a more natural transition into the Java Programming Language since it is designed to completely integrate into the Java platform.
