opengeoportal

OpenGeoPortal is an open source web portal for a GIS repository.

Please note that OpenGeoportal has moved to GitHub Find us at https://github.com/OpenGeoportal or http://opengeoportal.org

Welcome. OpenGeoPortal is a reliable, powerful, flexible GIS data portal that meets the needs of academic organizations. You can try it out at http://geodata.tufts.edu/'>Tufts' production instance.

Tufts began running OGP release 1.1 on March 15, 2012.

Would you like to run OpenGeoPortal on your own machines? If so, you should: * Download a deployable war file from the project's http://code.google.com/p/opengeoportal/downloads/list'>Downloads page OR go to the source code repository and http://code.google.com/p/opengeoportal/source/checkout'>check out the latest version * Email me (Stephen.McDonald@tufts.edu) and ask for some sample data * Follow the steps in the http://code.google.com/p/opengeoportal/wiki/InstallationWithMaven'>Deploy Instructions and http://code.google.com/p/opengeoportal/wiki/Installation'>Installation Guide

OpenGeoPortal relies heavily on search and for search we use Solr/Lucene. We currently ingest processed FGDC data into Solr. Naturally, only some of the http://code.google.com/p/opengeoportal/wiki/FgdcIngest'>FGDC fields are searchable. We have documented http://code.google.com/p/opengeoportal/wiki/Search'>how we search and our http://code.google.com/p/opengeoportal/wiki/Solr'>Solr schema.

OpenGeoPortal uses http://seleniumhq.org/docs/09_webdriver.html'>Selenium 2 to provide http://code.google.com/p/opengeoportal/wiki/AutomatedTesting'>automated testing.

Send Stephen.McDonald@tufts.edu an email as you run into problems!
