Hát, ha tudsz franciául, akkor lefordíthatnád :) Amúgy meg helyfoglalónak
van, mert néhány francia igérte a fordítást, és így nem kell
szenvedniük annyit a játékerőforrások babrálásával. Amúgy a grafikán

angolul. De csak vagy egyik vagy masik nyelven. Remèlem lessz Olasz és
mègtöbb nyelv is.. MAjd az olaszok leforditják... :)

megcsinálni, amiért konkrétan pénzt is kapnak.

I would like to help you fixing the French version if you wish so. French is my
native language.
I've started playing your rebuilt of one of my favourite games since my
childhood. I have noticed some translation defects in the Fr version as already
mentioned in this topic. There is also dialogue inversions (see the
attachment).

If there is a way I can help you, please let me know.

That would be great. Most of the French text was programmatically extracted
from the original, which was a mess so it is likely some text do not match up.
Any new text I've added lacks French translation as well as Google Translate is
unreliable...

How are the dialogues implemented in the game? Is there a global table or
something?
I have no programming or coding experience but you could lead me.

Here is the XML that contains the French text:

https://code.google.com/p/open-ig/source/browse/trunk/open-ig/data/fr/labels.xml

The chat is under key="chat.*".

I used the english to compare the two labels.xml files.
Here is the French one with modifications.

Lines 319 to 504 changed : chat
Translations, reformulations, fixing inverted script lines

Lines 12 to 87 changed : achievements
Descriptions translated. Achievements' names still te same

<entry key="bar. and <entry key="battlefinish.mission should be the next.

The French labels.xml is not exactly the same than the English one. Is it
outdated ?

I have to say that unfortunately, it is harder than I thought for me to get the
time I need for working on an unofficial (for the moment) French translation in
the past weeks.

So I decided, to let this work in standby until the moment I will have the
availability for.

I have also a question about the use of accented and special characters. When I
use the character "â" it is not shown in-game, neither when I use the code : â
It is strange, because any other accented character seems to work like é, è,
ô, ...

for a clean label.xml, what should I use?

That character was probably not in the original image.
If you have time, you can take an "a" from the image and place it somewhere in
line after the other characters.

https://code.google.com/p/open-ig/source/browse/trunk/open-ig/images/generic/cha
rset.png

Then, add the unicode character to this file:

https://code.google.com/p/open-ig/source/browse/trunk/open-ig/src/hu/openig/rend
er/charset.xml

Send me both updated files.

Ok, I will do someday. Will also check for any other possible missing special
character.

Hello. I've updated the images in the SVN and I hope I can release a minor
version today. Btw, I would like to add you to the credits. What name do you
prefer?

Thanks, great work so far, but don't overwork yourself; it can kill the
enthusiasm quite easily.

I'm closing off this issue. Please report any French translation problems, or
better yet, the proper translations in a new issue. Thanks.
