We used to include in the distribution a document describing how to make
plugins for Omnigator, but then removed it. Should we add it back? Do we
want people to make new plugins for Omnigator and Ontopoly? If so, we
should update it, add a section on Ontopoly, and include it again.

Thoughts welcome.

Ontopoly does not support plugins at the moment, but there are plans for adding
support for them.

There could be several different kinds of plug-ins added to Ontopoly. Here's a
list
of such plug-in types:

1) function box plug-in on the right side on the instance page(s)
2) field value editor plug-in (i.e. an math editor component)
3) tab plug-in to add new top-level tabs
4) event listeners

Adding 1) should be the more straightforward one. My thoughts on how to deploy
this
is through separate jar-files and some manifest magic (similar to how the TMAPI
implementations get loaded).
