Introduction

This page contains instructions for application developers (also proprietary) how to add easy installation of their applications using One Click Installer.

By providing easy way of installation of your application:

• You receive broader audience for your application.
• You save yourself time and money spent on providing users support how to install your application.

Instructions

1. Prepare packages and repositories with your application for all distributions you want to support. You can find information how to do it on CreatingDistributionPackages page. You can also use already existing third repositories prepared by distribution packages (if they exist and allow it) or ask specific distribution packagers to prepare packages.
2. Next, follow instructions for how to create One Click Installer file which are on CreatingOneClickInstallerFile page.
3. Ask your translators team to translate names and descriptions and update installation files with translated tags.
4. Point your users to instructions how to install One Click Installer which are available at: http://code.google.com/p/one-click-installer/wiki/InstructionsForUsers.
5. Finally, put installation link on your downloads page according to guidelines given on ShowingInstallationLinkGuideline. You can also link to this file from your developers blogs, articles about your application in online magazines, etc.
