This project is an ActiveResource extension, ActiveOIO, for accessing the Danish OIOREST experiment: http://oiorest.dk/danmark/Default.aspx

As the OIOREST project is merely an experiment, ActiveOIO will probably never see any real action in the world of real apps.

So. That means that for some people, coding on ActiveOIO will be like committing code to /dev/null.

For others, it might be an interesting way to explore the possibilities of REST in the danish public sector.

UPDATE: the main development of the oiorest ruby library is being done at github at the moment. There are two repositories there:

1. http://github.com/dalager/oiorest/tree/master -- the main branch

2. http://github.com/dalager/oiorest-rails-examples/tree/master -- an example rails application using the live REST api

Clone it, code on it and send a pull request!
