What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. This appears to be an issue with more complex heightmap data...especially given through fbm fractal terrains (as opposed to smoother noising non fractal noising). What is the expected output? What do you see instead? The expected output should include more accurate correspondence between actual heightmap data and Ogre terrain. I suspect that potentially Ogre's terrain management system is (interpolating/smoothing/discarding) data sets that are algorithmic outside some continuities tolerance. The problem is that the visual heightmaps are not showing that such data is too chaotic in terms of something like potential jump discontinuities and that potentially the Ogre's terrain managers maybe by default too data sensitive.
