OERPub API in Connexions

This page covers the Connexions implementation of the OERPub profile of the SWORD V2 specification. OERPub can be used to deposit anything that Connexions normally accepts and if needed, convert it to Connexions format and then place it into a Connexions author's or editor's content areas (personal workspace or shared work group). Authors can also update their modules via the API, checkout a new version, derive a copy, or publish existing content. Authors and contributors will always need to come to Connexions to check the license before initial publish.

Historical Implementation Notes

The document below describes a set of implementation tasks to create an initial usable version of an OER Publishing API for modules in Connexions (Phase 1). The implementation extends an existing SWORD deposit service in Connexions/Rhaptos. The document also describes several editing scenarios that the API implementation would support and that themselves can be prototyped over a summer.
