odvr

odvr is a user-space driver for USB-enabled Olympus DVRs that do not support the USB Mass Storage specification. odvr is tested against the VN-960PC, but should support other "VN" Olympus models. See SupportedDevices for a list of known-working devices.

Notice: Testers are always needed! If you own a device with unsupported status, or experience any issue with a device that odrv claims support for, report back success or failure in the issue tracker!

DEVELOPERS WANTED

odvr development has been standing still for some time, mostly due to a lack of time and the death of the main developer's Olympus hardware. Developers and project maintainers are wanted! Reply to Issue #34 if you are interested.

News

2009-09-26: odvr 0.1.5 released. This release includes small fixes, but also includes a raw download option. This is useful for advanced users trying to decode PULCOD files found on VN-xx00PC devices. A full Wine development environment, a DLL file, blood, sweat, and tears may be required!

2008-04-14: odvr 0.1.4.1 released. This is a bugfix release (no new features).

2008-04-09: odvr 0.1.4 released. Special thanks goes to conor.home for his patches. This release features:

Support for scheduled (S) folder.
Support D folder on newer devices.
Delete all recordings or just recordings in a single folder.

2008-01-24: odvr 0.1.3 released. This release adds support for XHQ audio on VN-xx00PC models. HQ, LP, and SP is still unsupported on VN-xx00PC models.

2008-01-13: odvr 0.1.2 is released. This release fixes various bugs, verified support for older models, like the VN-120PC and VN-240PC, a "make install" target, and a few odds and ends.
