| Issue 16: | Units can attack and capture one further than their range | |
| 1 person starred this issue and may be notified of changes. | Back to list |
What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Move a unit to the extent of its range such that an adjacent tile has an enemy or structure. 2. Attack/Capture What is the expected output? What do you see instead? I don't think the unit should be able to. Currently, it can. Please use labels and text to provide additional information. We need to decide whether or not this is a problem we want to address asap!

The specifications do say that an attack is made by the attempted movement of a unit onto an enemy unit. If the unit has used up all it's range, it shouldn't be able to attempt to move onto an adjacent tile. Unless this is easy to fix, we probably shouldn't change it so close to the deadline though.

We need to add a hasAttacked flag to all units because currently what was preventing them from attacking more than once per turn was that after an attack they were prevented from moving, which currently doesn't stop attacking an adjacent tile.

r302: Units can no longer attack several times per turn, but they can still attack one further than their range.
