It would be nice if nyroModal supported titles similar to the way lightwindow & shadowbox do. It probably would be an easy addition.

if an iframe is used, would it be possible to get the title from the iframe source?

I need to investigate if it doesn't create any trouble for security reason when the iframe is on an other server. but it's a really good idea !

You could use a default title if the iframe loads from another server... Like "Displaying External Content" or something like that
