About JavaScript

JavaScript is a simple elegant language created by Netscape many years ago. It's a functional language that's supported by almost every web browser. Most people don't realize that the language can be used in other situations, such as on a web server to process XML files using its "ECMAScript for XML" (E4X) capabilities. This is how the NOTEX Project employs JavaScript.
