This will have the code for a number of modules made for middle school (and possibly highschool) students to help promote Computer Science methods, computational thinking, and inquiry-based learning for Science Classes.

Modules

• Hydropower Simulation: The purpose of this module is to show students how water height affects the amount of power available from a hydroelectric dam. The digital simulation is designed to be paired with a physical model of a generator in order to reinforce the idea that computer models can simulate the real world. A live version of the simulation can be found at the link to the left and the code can be checked out from the "Sources" tab.

• What is a Computer Scientist?: an introduction to the field of computer science. It consists of a two part presentation: a slideshow and lecture on computer science as a field and a demonstration of some cool application to get students interested. Materials can be found under the "Downloads" tab above.

• Building a Website: an introduction to building websites using Google Sites.
