Overview

Crash Reporter is an application to ease submission of crash reports for both user and developer. It features

Symbolication.
Accurately finding which application/extension causes the crash.
Developer-controlled diagnosis information (See CrashReporter_blame_script_spec).

Usage

Whenever you suspect a crash, you can launch Crash Reporter:

which a screen like this will appear:

This screen contains all recently crashed applications.

Tap on a cell to reveal all crash logs of that application. The crash logs are sorted by date. Tap on one of them to analyze the crash log.

(Additionally, you can delete processed crash logs in this view.)

This brings us to the suspects view. In here, you can view the symbolicated crash log, and the syslog in the minute that the crash happened. Crash Reporter would analyze the crash log and identify the possible libraries that causes the crash. They are divided into 3 types:

Primary suspect is the first library in the stack trace of the crashing thread.
Secondary suspects are libraries involved in the crashing thread.
Tertiary suspects are those involved in the application at that time, but were not running in the crashing thread.

Knowing who to blame, you can now generate a report to its developer. By default, the first link will send you to AppStore or Cydia, where you can paste to the report/mail to the developer. At the time you tap on the link, the attachments (crash log and syslog) will be uploaded to pastie.org so that the developer can retrieve it later.

Help!!! I got a problam with my iPod touch when I am opening any app noting opens it just takes me back to the front page and I can even go in to the settings etc. Ones I am at a place where there is no wi-fi all apps that works with out Internet can be open I downloaded cydia a few months ago but everything worked till now so I don't know what to do I restarted my iPod so many times nothing helped can somebody please help me and tell me where to go whom to ask what to do maybe restore my iPod on the computer ? I don't know i am helpless please reply thanks jay

Help!!! Av not been able to open some important application for quiet some time now and av been running on safe mode since,any time I want to read message on my i phone it always bring message to me that I should restart My phone that the winterbord has crach av tried severally to fix this error but it got me to nowhere .please and please help me fix this mistake and put my iPhone back to normal self.thanks

Hello, I'm really having hard time with my iPhone because whenever I'm getting any SMS my phone crashes, hang and shutoff by itself. Every now and then when my iPhone is crashing I just keep it to safe mode. the error message is "spring board crashed". Does springboard and winterboard have the same function? What should I do. Thanks in advance for the help.

I'm stuck in safe mode. I've restarted a hundred times. It won't let me download crag reporter. Really don't want to restore. How can I get to the tweak I downloaded that caused this so I can delete it?

Naism, do you have openSsh installed on your iPhone/iPod if so just use it to delete the app or tweak that keeps making your iPhone/iPod crashing using cyberduck for your computer to use OpenSsh? for your iDevice

My iphone 4 got stuck in safe mode... I tried every possible way in between i think i deleted cydia , whereas winter board is still there but not working.. I restored too but it didnt work... What should i do now atleast to bring cydia back

My iPhone 4s keeps crashing but crash reporter never gives me a suspect! All my themes and tweaks are current and running iOS 5. My phone crashes every time I get a text message and I can't narrow the problem down. Please help. Thank you.

My ipod was now in safe mode and how can i exit i shut down my ipod and open back but i was not open back and i see only apple logo and nothin it does not work what should i do? please report me back
