Supported_Devices (Table of devices supported by NetbookInstaller.) Wiki page commented on by deberli   -   @Stefan Brownies Congratulations. You are one of the first to get Snow Leopard going on a D250. Please post a step by step guide or the links to the sites you used and downloaded from. There are still so many open questions. How did you install 10.6.2, I only have a 10.6 retail version? NBI did not do much for me!? What "windows"-keys did you press to enter in Save mode. Where did you get the kext for audio and wifi. I am sure the community would very much appreciate your insight. Thank you for your help. Daniel (deberli- at- google -com)

issue 177 (Kernel Panic - Unsupported CPU type on boot from USB stick p...) commented on by merrilln   -   UPDATE ~ Tried the install using iAtkos 7 then NetbookMaker 0.8.3 RC5 and success! You MUST remove the battery or install will fail. I now have OSX 10.5.7 installed and running "mostly"... I have to use an external keyboard and mouse as the built-in ones do not yet work. I also have no wired or wireless access yet and oddly, my USB keys refuse to mount even though they do appear in System Profiler. Will post more as I get further along...

Supported_Devices (Table of devices supported by NetbookInstaller.) Wiki page commented on by thomasafine   -   Hey. Microcenter is selling something that they don't call a 10v, but it looks a lot lie the 10v, with the extended 6-cell battery, for $299: http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0320528 One thing that I see is different is it says it has a 950 GPU, not a 945. Is this in fact a 10v? Or close enough? Does anyone else have this 950 GPU? Also, I noticed that the Dell website says that the Mini 10 and Mini 10v both support 2G of memory. Is this an easy upgrade?

Have a Dell Mini 10V and the Ethernet works fine but the WiFi doesn't work at all. I have the DW 1397 card on my PC and haven't attempted to replace it yet to verify the card is good but if I buy a replacement card, would like to know if I install the DW 1510 card if would be compatible with Snow L 10.6.1 installed, What is your advice here? I installed SL using NetbookBootLoader and NBI 0.8.3 RC 5.

We chatted earlier and he was at 10.6.0. I have been stable for 10 days straight with no kernel panics. I don't have wired ethernet, sleep, or internal mic yet. But everything else is rock solid at 10.6.2. I used NBI/NBM 0.8.3RC4 and the USB install method. My Acer is the D250-1962. Do you have any of the above issues working yet?

Have you found a way to fix this, lacking a copy of Windows and the Dell utility? BT is enabled in the BIOS on my mini9 (v.a05), and I've tried "fixing BT" via DellEFI, but cannot seem to make OSX see that the adapter even exists. Interested in any tips on correcting this!

Used the guides/utilities from http://osx.mechdrew.com/guides/. Wasn't as straight forward as I had hoped, but the OS is up and running and I'm currently working on the extensions for audio and wifi/ethernet. Hopefully can get those going soon. I also have an AT&T 3G USB "air card" that I hope to use if all else fails. At any rate, just wanted to let you know that it does work, mostly. Thanks...

issue 178 (Installer fails in post-install on EeePC 1005HA) reported by stewart.midwinter   -   What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Run Snow Leopard Installer using NBI 0.8.3 RC5 2. Installation stops at "Time remaining: 8 minutes" 3. What netbook are you using this on? I'm running this on an EeePC 1005HA What is the expected output? What do you see instead? I expect to see the Snow Leopard installer complete. Instead, it appears to stop with 8 minutes remaining. What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? I'm using NBI 0.8.3 RC5 with Snow Leopard 10.6.0 Please provide any additional information below. When I open the installer log and display errors, I can see the following problem: "./postinstall: cp: /Volumes/ramdisk/dsdt/latest_dsdl.dsl: No such file or device" The installer then repeats this message endlessly. I'm unable to find out how to edit the post-install script to step over this problem, so at this point my request is for you to fix this. I see from forum postings on insanelymac.com that other people with the EeePC 1005HA are also seeing this problem. Thanks!

This is the problem kext I believe AppleACPIBatteryManager.kext when it comes to the battery KP's.

I've not yet tested microphone which I also see reported. Otherwise RC5 is brilliant stuff - no issues after updating to 10.6.2 using downloaded combo update.

Boot from USB stick prepared with NetbookMaker 0.8.3 rc4 and retail 10.6 2. 3. What netbook are you using this on? Acer Aspire One D250 - N270, 1GB RAM, 160GB HD What is the expected output? What do you see instead? Immediate kernel panic on boot from USB stick - unsupported CPU type What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? NetbookMaker 0.8.3 RC4 and retail 10.6 or iAtkos 7 Please provide any additional information below. Trying to install 10.6 from USB stick on my Acer Aspire One D250 - N270, 1GB RAM, 160GB HD. I have attempted to install several times using both retail 10.6 and iAtkos 7 with the same results each time. I have removed the AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement kexts and replaced with NullCPUPowerManagement kext which gets me a bit further with no kernel panic but then hangs just before the main install screen is supposed to appear. I have tried the remove battery trick to no avail. Each time it hangs, if I press the power button briefly, the mouse pointer changes to the spinning beachball and then nothing.
