What steps will reproduce the problem?

I can't have a Maybe a in the data type I use to drive CmdArgs

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I might be missing something, but wouldn't that be handy to allow?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
(Saying "latest" is fine, especially for Hoogle web search)

Please provide any additional information below.

Yep - everywhere I allow [] should also allow Maybe.

Before seeing this issue, I tried

 data Args = Args {
     ,executable :: Maybe String

           ,executable = Nothing &= flag "executable" & typ "EXECUTABLE" & text "..."

My program compiled but gave a runtime error:

 System/Console/CmdArgs/Type.hs:(67,0)-(71,34): Non-exhaustive patterns in
function toFlagType

Thanks for cmdargs which rocks.
