Download Native Client
Updated May 17, 2010 by kathyw@google.com

Tarball downloads are no longer available. Instead, go to one of the following places:

  • Source: Source code for this project
  • SDK: Tools for developing software that uses Native Client

Dear Sirs,

Please establish seperate mirrors for downloads. It takes forever to download the source.

Also,it would have been nice if you would have given us the checksum/md5 signatures to verify that we have downloaded the correct binaries.

best regards

Best regards

I've forwarded your request for mirrors to the codesite managers. As for checksums, we've changed the links to point to pages with checksum info, instead of directly to the download files. Hope that helps...

I have tried to download the Windows distribution a number of times over the last day or two from a variety of browsers and it has timed out on each occasion. Am I the only one?

Comment by kgouth...@gmail.com, Sep 6, 2009

i too am unable to download plz fix the link!!!

Comment by nativecl...@gmail.com, Sep 7, 2009

The link appears to be fine - I am downloading now. I will drop a note to the code.google.com administrators in chase there is some chance of improving their network connection quality. We are also working on making our downloads smaller.

Comment by xze...@gmail.com, Sep 8, 2009

It downloads for a few minutes, then times out.

Comment by Youanden, Nov 13, 2009

Had no issues, downloaded at around 1.3MB/s

Comment by winroot...@gmail.com, Nov 17, 2009

I get a 404 error for all 3 tarballs...

Comment by wlic...@gmail.com, Mar 22, 2010

The new link is still not available for windows. :p

Comment by zhanglin...@gmail.com, Mar 23, 2010

The link isn't available for windows...

Comment by project member kathyw@google.com, Mar 25, 2010

I don't think the .../latest/ tarballs will work. We're working on new tarballs for you, so please keep an eye on this page. Sorry about the delay...

Comment by phead...@bellsouth.net, Mar 25, 2010

I was able to compile the .../latest/ for windows, but the plugin would never load (an XP machine and a Win7 machine)... I'm guessing the lack of an official tarball release at the moment is the reason??

I am trying to build NaCl in karmic-64 from the tarball mentioned by surekha29 but getting some error.

scons: [scons-out/opt-linux-x86-32/obj/src/trusted/sel_universal/rpc_benchmarker] Error 1 scons: building terminated because of errors.

ERROR REPORT: 1 failures

scons-out/opt-linux-x86-32/obj/src/trusted/sel_universal/rpc_benchmarker failed: Error 1

what should I do?

Comment by kathyw%chromium.org@gtempaccount.com, Mar 29, 2010

OK, the tarball links in this page are valid now. Please try them out.

In both instances below, I have to run the vsvars32.bat file that comes w/ VC++Express (2008) in the same command prompt that I run scons in. Also have to put an afxres.h file in the build\native_client directory, with a single "#include <windows.h>" and carriage return in the file's contents (not sure where I read that tip). Everything compiles as described in Getting Started guide from that point forward.

XP SP2 Core 2 Duo: Everything compiles fine, all tests in nacl-x86-32/staging/examples.html run ok on FireFox? 3.6.2 except for Voronoi, which just comes up blank. I don't get a loading error, or "...modules are loading too slowly" error, just a black box.

Win7 AMD Athlon 64: Everything compiles fine, have to move the SDL + NaCl DLLs and sel_ldr.exe into Mozilla plugins folder manually, all tests in nacl-x86-32/staging/examples.html fail with: "ERROR: The Native Client modules are loading too slowly" in FireFox? 3.6.2

Are the build tools in these tarballs set up to build for 64-bit at this point, or is that still forthcoming?
