MDS (Musjid Display System)

Assalamu Alaikum

Brother/Sister in Islam

This program started out as a need to transition the 20th century methods of information display in musajid (ie: Using chalk boards, pin up boards, etc) to the 21st century of displaying information. (ie: using digital signage).

The main information that is distributed in a musjid could be a mix of the following:

• The daily Salaah times
• Time change information
• Funeral Notices
• Nikah Notices
• General Announcements
• Hadith-a-day (or variation thereof)
• Zawaal Time
• etc

By the Grace of Allah, this application has matured into a working product, however it is still in its infancy and it is hoped that with the help of other muslims, it can grow into a fully fucntional package. Please also note that I am not a programmer by trade, therefore the code may not be as clean as may be desired.

This is the initial version of the functional source code.

To start using the application as it is, the following would be required:

REQUIRED:

1. Windows XP PC (Have not tried other OS Versions, but it should work with a later Microsoft OS)
2. Other requirements include dotNet Runtime 3.5 SP1 and SQL CE 3.5, but these would automatically be downloaded the first time the product is installed should it detect that it is not on your system.

To start using the source, the follwoing would be required:
