and, there support for opengl first versions, a mean, opengl v 1.0, cos no all people have a nvidia or ati GPU , still run mupen64plus in via unichrome GPU chips or intel 8XX,9XX
Yes this is a continuation of the original Mupen64 project, with different developers. We have 3 video plugins, and they should work with unichrome, 8xx and 9xx chipsets. One of our devs has the Unichrome and has reported problems with RiceVideo? though.
oh, yes, realy the unichrome is a more devel module for xorg of via module (that support a more wide of devices on IGP chipsets), but some issues are not complete, but mupen64 (old) emulator was working on the module called via, and the module called Unichrome worked only with "soft" and "gl64" plugings... the problem was in the extensions OGL, is more a module mistake..
i currently download the mupen64plus, i read the changelog, great work, very hasty, thanks to u and to devel team.. the renamed of binary can permit the coexist of both emulators, and share plugings.. great definitely.
i put a review of two emulators mupen64 vs mupen64plus in McKAY's debian emulation and issues ( http://qgqlochekone.blogspot.com ) and i'll package for debian follow a correct policy packing..
great work i'll send feedback and bug's reports.. thanks for emulator..
er.. think hacktarux of this work? .. (is for review article!)
Thanks for the feedback; we're just a few days/weeks away from a new release (1.4). Hacktarux wrote most of the original Mupen64, but the new Mupen64Plus project is being developed by Richard42, NMN, okaygo, ebenblues, DarkJezter?, Tillin9, slougi, and a few others.
We have entered on google group mupen64plus, although the discussions were not enabled, we offered to packaged the mupen64plus deb, to ensure they are following the policy of packing debian.. also we have now packagin a especial deb in McKAY emus blog (http://qgqlochekone.blogspot.com/) and VENENUX repository (line for source.list on debian: deb http://www.triviazus.com/venenux/vnzpacks/ ./) i be ready for this week version 1.3 of deb for sarge, xandros and etch.
So hacktarux dont wrote any lines again on original mupen64 proyect? Do u have some feedback from hacktarux? or anyway.. feel free for answers or not this questions, dont wory.
again we apologize for the insistence. and good work. and.. when the release of 1.4.. hurry please!!!!!
the forthcoming comments we'll feeback on the discussions and blog comment.. and sorry for english --u
Hacktarux has not published any changes to Mupen64 since the 0.5 release back in 2005; we have made all of the improvements to Mupen64Plus. Hacktarux has commented a few times in threads on the emutalk forum - he's too busy with other things to work on this project but I think he's glad that we're continuing it.
nice but, is mupen64plus a continue of mupen64 proyect? i allready packaged the mupen64 for debian?
