the hardware is an Arduino, a 5V power supply designed for the 12V car enviroment and some Sensor circuits.

Its running stable and everything needed to duplicate it is avaiable here :)

The Specs:

  • 12V Input, but very robust for the automotive enviroment.
  • 20x4 LCD Support.
  • Arduino Duemilanove with the ATmega328.
  • 8 Typ K Thermocouples.
  • RPM measurement from a Injector.
  • 2 stage Shiftlight.
  • 8 VDO Sensors, pressure or temperature.
  • Lamba measurement with the factory small band probe.
  • Throttle position with the factory sensor.
  • Mass air flow with the factory sensor.
  • Boost measurement.
  • Streaming the data to a pc with visualizing it there.
  • Recording of events (like maximum RPM)
  • Boost regulation (with PID)

Current Status:

[27.05.2010]

long time no update here, but the work is not ending, just theck the code updates ;) Dominik has done some impressive work on it, its now a full datalogger:

a new batch of pcbs is ordered, a limited series with 20 sets will be ready in about 2 weeks from now!

[30.01.2010]

a lot of news :)

  • dgummel has joined the team, as a software guy he will take a deep look into it and start with the N75 boost controll.
  • Darko is making his first testruns, after sorting some RPM measurement issues its looking good:
  • The Partlist is now online, making it easier to get the right stuff -> Partlist <-

[06.01.2009]

Its done, the first Kit is installed, and working! :)

and with it the md_002p0 is official released!!! You can find it in the downloads, or just on the right side.

[07.12.2009] What a response!

User Darko over at the Arduino Forum send me this nice pictures:

he is about to install it into his Astra G 1.6 16V, nice ride! http://www.opel-teamcroatia.hr/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=421

with his install the Code and Wiki got updatet, it should now be even easier to make yourself a copy :)
