I got login error when I tried WLM... but I can login perfectly using MSN. Please, help me.

Hey Have just installed your plugin and have had no probs, it logged me in ok and all :) One question, how do you set your personal message?

The same login problem as with MSN plugin (reading error or something, HTTP proxy does not help). Trying to disable WLM crashes Pidgin 2.5.5 on Windows. The only way to disable plugin is to remove dll file and remove the account after Pidgin restart.

WLM has an nasty bug with invisible mode. Can't send any messages if the MSN account has been turned invisible anytime.

I can't get the direct connection working, I've enabled it, but it's still slow - no, it's not because I'm behind a router and so on, I'm positive.

The router should not affect if the other side has direct connection and can act as a server (official MSN client).

still not able to connect, connection errors as same as before plugin install. Guess I will stop fighting the big M and install messenger, as much as I hate to. My laptop has little screen real estate the way it is, not to mention the extra Memory load.

What version of Pidigin does this require? I tried installing this on Pidgin 2.5.6 and I do not see a WLM option. Windows XP SP3, libmsn-pecan.dll is present in the Plugins folder.

I cant use it to connect MSN throw WLM protocal, it show me "the account is not accepted", but throw MSN protocal on pidgin 2.6.4

It seems the latest release doesn't work properly on Windows. Will be fixed on 0.1.0-rc2.

Unless the 0.1.0-rc2 is still in development, I'm still not getting a WLM option after installing it. Same specs as I posted above.

- and I do use and love this plugin on Ubuntu, I just want to do the same in Windows...

@crashenator you should report a bug, in there you must provide the log of running pidgin from the command line, and it would be really useful if you could check the dll with http://dependencywalker.com/

Pecan uses the same ports as MSN correct? So we can't route through another port?

@verfassergeist I don't know what you want to do; the ports are on the server side, many clients can connect to the same port

I've set the account to use WLM now instead of MSN but pidgin just crashes with a segmentation fault every start-up without fail.

Hi there, i had same problem plazia had... Pidgin crashes with segmentation fault, only if the WLM account is enabled at start. Pidgin version is 2.6.2 and i'm using Ubuntu UE. Could you put here the link of the bug if its already reported so we can take a better look at this?

Just installed for Windows version 2.6.6 and works great so far. Was seeing an issue where an MSN contact showed offline in Pidgin, but in Windows Live Messenger they were online. This plugin fixed the problem. Thanks!

Hi, i've installed the plugin and changed the protocol to wml but when i tried to log in i've got an error: "The email address or password is incorrect." i checked this and i'm pretty sure that the email address and the password are correct.

Hi, I got this message in some of my contacts' chat window "You are not in XXX's contact list." Of course, I'm sure that I'm in their lists and vice versa. We also confirmed this with the live messenger. How can we solve it?

@tintin that seems to be a problem on the server, and one that Microsoft can't seem to fix even though they said it is... The plan is to just disable that on msn-pecan.

Good work! Better than most of MSN plugins in Pidgin and even other IMs.

But I have strange issue. Sometimes ffter program restart some contacts appears blocked. And privacy settings always switch to "Allow all userfs from below" even if I change them.

Thank you so much! Here's a request, though: could you call the WLM protocol "WLM (Pecan)" instead so we know absolutely sure that's the right implementation we want to have? :)

I've been suffering with libPurple on pidgin and no msn contact pics now for nearly a year. Today I discover msn-pecan, install it, and no more problem.

Why couldn't I discover this sooner‽
