This project provides a compendium for bugs in MSIE in a centralized bugtracker. GoalsHigh visibility with the best examples and bug reports. Microsoft Claims that IE 8 is a browser for developers who are writing towards standards. However, many important standards-related bugs in IE 8 have been "closed by design" in Microsoft's "Connect" bugtracker. Examples of these bugs on the Connect bugtracker can only be viewed by the IE Team. There are other examples of such bugs on various websites. The authors of these bugs have volunteered much of their personal time to make examples of these bugs, many of which have existed since IE6 and earlier, and have taken their time to report them to Microsoft, through the Connect website. Microsoft claims to support standards, but what is observed in IE does not match what Microsoft says. This project provides a highly visible public bugtracker. It is fair and unbiased. This project is purely on a volunteer basis. |
