13.10.2009 NewGUI wiki created.

New GUI wiki has been created to give information as to what is already implemented, what will be in the release and what won't be, as well as a note to artists/developers who are interested in creating artwork for the GUI itself, so go ahead and check out the wiki here.

08.10.2009 Using MplayerCE cIOS causes MPlayerCE to freeze on loading?

If you have installed the cIOS located: Here and is causing MPlayerCE to freeze (whilst loading up) and you can only run MPlayerCE by removing IOS202, then install the cIOS by hermes: Here. As always select an appropriate IOS to do the installation, selecting IOS202 (homebrew). A guide on how to install USB2.0/cIOS can be read: Here.

07.10.2009 Artist/Designer required!

We're looking for an artist to help design a new GUI for MPlayer. The general layout (and features) has already been determined. We're looking for someone to refine that layout and put some high-quality, polished artwork to it. The artist must be capable of producing something at the level of quality of the XMBC themes Aeon and Rapier.

05.09.2009 SMB problems under Windows 7

After hearing about users having trouble with SMB under Windows 7, I installed Windows 7 Ultimate x64 (also tried 32bit). To get SMB working you need to change the network settings: password protection off and change some of the encryption settings. On your shared folder use advanced and change the privileges such as guest users read/access etc... SMB works as guest and as password protected user. There is not a problem with the firewall (it's the security settings which cause the problem). It can be tricky to get Samba working but playing with the advanced and encryption settings, you can eventually get it to work :). djdyna!

Mplayer-CE is a homebrew media player for the Nintendo Wii. It was initially created as a fork of the Team Twiizers MPlayer port, combining elements of MPlayerWii, GeeXboX and other great homebrew contributions. It is built with devkitPPC development tools and libogc libraries, fully homebrew driven and not associated with Nintendo in any way.
