issue 84 (Apple Remote behaves as if Movist wasn't open) commented on by shadowbottle   -   None of this fixes the play/pause button not functioning using the new aluminum remote. The play/pause button is not recognized at all. You guys with the older plastic remote control it should work fine. The new aluminum remote has a new button. The center button is now "Select" and the play/pause is a new button on the bottom. Nothing on the remote causes play/pause. I can confirm that my old, cheap plastic remote that it works fine.

issue 94 (Apple Remote support broken in 10.6.2) commented on by shadowbottle   -   I guess you guys with no problems are using the older remote? I have both and the new one has created a new "select" button in the center instead of menu. So now it has up/down/left/right (center) select, Menu and Play/Pause. Play/Pause has absolutely no function - so there's no way to pause or play using candelair or not, using the new remote. It seems to work fine with the older plastic remote though.

With candelair and compatible mode it does nothing, without the compatible mode or without candelair the up/down, left/right and menu buttons work but the play/pause and center button does not.

When I open a file, the filename and decoder type (ffmpeg or quicktime) is displayed on the video for a couple of seconds. I know this information already, so I'd prefer not to have it displayed. Perhaps an option to enable/disable this could be added?

issue 99 (Feature Request: Floating Controller in Windowed Mode) reported by jobauma   -   It would be cool if Movist had a floating controller when windowed, like QuickTime X. This would make the window smallest possible which is useful when it's on top of other windows and you're surfing the web or doing some other activity. To even have the title bar fade away would be super cool, but I'm sure it's difficult to do that. For the controller's size not to be a limit to the size of the window, there could be a smaller version of the controller that it swaps to when the window is too small for the bigger version. I can't remember how this is solved in QuickTime X (I don't use Snow Leopard), but these are only suggestions, so if you are indeed going to change Movist to look something a little more similar to QuckTime X, I'm sure you will come up with the best solution. Thanks.
