HOWTO

Introduction

The program only works if your movies are in subdirectories or just files in the root folders like this:

movies (dir)

  • forest gump (subdir)
  • pulp fiction (subdir)

movies2 (dir)

  • dumbo (subdir)
  • free.willy.avi
  • dumb.and.dumber.avi

after choosing movie - import folder in the menu the folder will be scanned and all info will be fetched from imdb / rotten tomatoes / ...

Let us know / help out

If this does not work for you (other dir structure / other problems), create an issue! We will probably update the program so it fits your needs. Other java programmers are free to join the project, let us know if you are interested:

I stumbled across this app - its really super, and I can see the thought that has gone into it. I am using Vista and Java 6 rel 11, but for some reason with either the .jar or windows .exe I ONLY get the data from Flixter - No Rotten Tomatoes / IMDB etc. The detail pane has N/A against the databases yet from the RT or IMBD info buttons (in app) the page is there to view. An example follows..

Alien Raiders Director Ben Rock Genres Sci-Fi, Thriller Languages English Runtime 85 min

IMDB N/A Tomato N/A MovieWeb? N/A Goolge N/A Flixter 50% 152 votes

I did try the earlier v 6 release and saw a NULL against IMDB as well as N/A. Can you help or can I give you more detail / version / debug or screen shots?
