Instructions for playing MtM.

Move to the Music

Get ready for the dance game with a difference: you don't have to see the screen in order to have fun with Move to the Music. Whether you play alone or with friends, you can listen to music score points while you practice your dance moves. You can create an account to store your best scores as you work your way through Challenge Mode levels and there's a freeplay mode for when you just want to groove.

System requirements

We've prepared Move to the Music for play on newer and older computers with Windows XP. You'll want to have a good pair of speakers to enjoy the music—tinny laptop speakers just won't do the trick. A dance mat is also required. Standard DDR-style mats are inexpensive and widely available on-line. You'll need a Playstation to USB converter to plug the mat into your computer. Take a look at the mat you buy—some ship with a converter already in the box.

Installation instructions

Installing Move to the Music couldn't be simpler. Download the install package from our website and save it to a convenient place on your computer. Then, double-click the file you downloaded and it will take care of the rest. You'll end up with an icon on your desktop that you can use to run the game later.

Running MtM

Double-click the desktop icon and you'll be playing in no time!

Player Accounts

Players can create accounts to store their high scores and track their progress through Challenge Mode. Accounts are stored according to player name, and there's no limit to the number of accounts you can create on one computer.

The Rules

Simple: Dance on the mat, step on squares in time to the beat, and you'll earn points. Learn combos in challenge mode to score even more points. Have fun!

Two Ways to Play

Freeplay

In freeplay mode, you can dance how you want and rack up points. You can use combos you've learned in Challenge Mode if you want. You can earn even more points by earning bonuses based on how well you dance, but it's up to you to figure out the steps that will win the most points.

Challenge Mode

This is the heart of Move to the Music. You start out on Level One with two songs, and you can unlock more levels by beating those songs. Along the way, the game will teach you the step combos that you'll need to win a level. Each song has a certain number of combos you'll have to complete before you can unlock the next level. To complete a combo, all you have to do is hit the right steps in order as you dance to the beat—and the game tells you what the steps are! Sound simple? Well, as the levels advance, the combos get longer and the songs get faster. Here's a tip: the combos are the best way to rack up mega points.

Have fun!
