issue 4 (Thunderbird Theme) commented on by sbiefeld   -   Yup, that's pretty much all I did, was unpack the default strata theme and go through with photoshop and desaturated the default images. Also, tried to find places in the css files where color is being used and change it as well. Here is a good reference, https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Themes

issue 5 (Bookmark toolbar will no longer expand at end of screen) commented on by sbiefeld   -   This may be an issue with the Strata theme changes from Firefox 3.0.11 to 3.5. Version 1.1 of the theme is only compatible with Firefox 3.5, I would reccommend going back to version 0.9 of the theme if you want to have compatibility with Firefox 3.0.11, https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/downloads/file/41967/monochrome-0.9-fx.jar

issue 5 (Bookmark toolbar will no longer expand at end of screen) reported by js.dahmen   -   What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Switching back to Monochrome from another theme. 2. 3. What is the expected output? What do you see instead? I see an icon that states "Bookmark toolbar" instead of a double arrow ">>" that will let me expand it. What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? 3.0.11, XP Pro, Monochrome 1.1 Please provide any additional information below.

issue 4 (Thunderbird Theme) commented on by chuckdmoney   -   Hmm...so did you use any specific process in creating the Firefox theme? That is, did you use GIMP or Photoshop, and is there some kind of magic filter or such where someone else could simply replicate the same steps you took using the default Thunderbird theme instead of the default Firefox theme? If it's simply a matter of running a graphics filter on the resource files and renaming the theme, I might try this myself. And a late reply is better than none at all. I'm just glad you're reading. The last thing OSS needs is another orphaned project.

issue 2 (Pop-up Blocker Icon in Status Bar) commented on by sbiefeld   -   If the issue is very bothersome, I would recommend going back to version 0.9, https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/downloads/file/41967/monochrome-0.9-fx.jar. I am trying to push forward and maintain compatibility with the most recent version of firefox.

issue 4 (Thunderbird Theme) commented on by sbiefeld   -   Sorry for the delayed response, the theme is open source so as long as the license is included, anyone if free to do what they wish with the theme. I think porting from firefox to thunderbird is the incorrect way to proceed, it would probably be best to take the current thunderbird theme and monochrome it. In terms of maintaining I could only do so time permitting. The license can be found here: http://code.google.com/p/monochrometheme/source/browse/trunk/license.txt

issue 4 (Thunderbird Theme) commented on by chuckdmoney   -   Ok, then if I knew someone who could port your theme from Firefox to Thunderbird (with credit to you, of course) would they have your permission to do so? I know many developers have a certain sense of ownership over their work and don't want anyone porting it, even with attribution. But if it's okay with you I have a friend who might tackle it. Also, once ported, would you be willing to maintain it, i.e. fix issues with new Thunderbird releases, or would me friend need to do that?

Also all the icons in the awesome bar." So there is no way I could get rid of it then? Is that what you're trying to say? I hope there is an option to remove it, as it doesn't look clean being there all the time. Thanks.
