Technology
modjavascript is an Apache module that uses the SpiderMonkey engine to process requests in Javascript. SpiderMonkey was chosen because it has a good embedding interface and will allow us to use Tamarin/JS2 goodness when that becomes available.
Status
This project is currently pre-alpha. It currently accepts basic configuration directives (JavascriptHandler) and outputs "Hello World! (from js)" from a hard-coded bit of Javascript.
Project Running
modjavascript is an inclusive, open project. Commit access will be given out fairly freely (post to the group for membership), and only taken away if someone demonstrates that they are unable to discuss the changes that they are making with the other members. Substantial changes and prototypes should happen on a branch and should be discussed before being merged into the trunk.
