If you have tested Mobile Jupiter in another device, please report it using the comment form at the end of this page or use the discussion group. DescriptionMobile Jupiter is an application to plot in the screen of your mobile device the relative positions of the galilean moons of Jupiter (Io, Europa, Ganymede and Callisto). Mobile Jupiter is aimed to assist you while observing Jupiter with binoculars or telescopes. This way you will be able to know what are the moons you are seeing in that moment. Mobile Jupiter is written in Java 2 Platform, Micro Edition (J2ME) and requires a device that support MIDP 2.0 standard. The code used to compute the positions of the moons was initially based on a Qbasic script of the GALSAT written by Dan Bruton. GALSAT is a DOS program and you can download it here. After some time the code was changed and now it is based on the Java Script applet by Akkana Peck that can be found here. Mobile Jupiter is an iniciative of Miguel Moreto.
