About Mobile Data Now

MobileDataNow enables someone to query databases and webservices via their mobile phone using email, sms or instant messaging.

Since its simply messaging, MobileDataNow works with all phones. Just send an email, SMS or instant message with your query to retrieve, add or update database information (depending on permissions). Quick to setup, MobileDataNow is fast, easy to setup and easy to use.

Note 1: The download executible does not contain all the latest code which you'll see here. The source code adds additional table permissions for insert & update queries and web services with email messaging. We just haven't compiled it to an executible yet.

Note 2: This project was forced to use the GPL license due to it using a GPL component for instant messaging. I really wanted it to be a BSD licensed project so if you need any other components, just ask (support@mobiledatanow.com) and I'll grant it.

Database Connectivity

Supports database connectivity via ODBC or JDBC, simple and complex web services via SOAP (dynamic invocation without coding) - the web services stuff works with email only at this stage.

Messaging Functionality

Browser based, created in OpenLaszlo, compiles to Flash
