issue 199 (MTE Doesn't Account for Time Zone Differences) reported by a...@kyd.com.au   -   What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Record a trail in any timezone other than GMT using the location API. 2. Resulting GPX file time is reported as GMT and displaced by however many timezones away from GMT the trail was actually recorded in. Basically: The GPX file is always outputted as timezone Z rather than the correct timezone, which makes geotagging and synchronising trails difficult. MTE needs to either adjust the recorded time, or record the correct timezone in the outputted file. :)

issue 116 (Can not specify EXport Folder in Nokia Phone if no macro SD ...) commented on by armin.aha   -   Rather than hardcoding the default directory for export you could use the FileSystemRegistry.listRoots() method to return all available root directories of the phone and the use one of those as default directory. This solution also works for devices that do not use "C:/" as root. see attached patch

Also I cant use all functions in map view as I dont have keypad and this phone only has virtual joystick and virtual "game buttons" (shows buttons A,B,C,D) so would be nice if something could be done for this too." there is no real interface for phones with only touch display (like the Nokia 5800XM)! It would be really nice to have some software-buttons for zoom in and out, and the * and # keys

issue 197 (Feature request) reported by j...@gettert.de   -   Hi, I am using the MTE very often for recording GPX-tracks. That's perfect as long as I don't want to call someone. If I want to call someone I have to terminate MTE make call and start again. Of course during the time terminated MTE cannot record the track. Is there a possiblity to send MTE to background? On my Nokia phone there is a countdown apllication which goes to background and showing only one line on the screen. This feature would really help me. Wolfram

issue 196 (Trail recording records only one position) commented on by pireddu   -   I don't think this has anything to do with the export folder. I've tested it on my SE K530i and I see the same symptoms, whether the export folder is on e: or c:. As a matter of fact, I remember that this issue came up a while ago on the mailing list, and someone submitted a patched binary and maybe a patch. If I remember well, it had something to do with the code that reads the data coming in from the GPS antenna. I have since lost that binary, and I can't manage to find that message in the archives.

issue 105 (JSR179 doesn't work with SE c702) commented on by akollmorgen   -   i don't think that we should add an extra SE JSR fix setting to the developers menu, but figure out the existence of GPGSA by looking at the available information. will fix 1., the potential nullpointer. regarding 2: i don't understand why line 104 not being called is a problem. if your gps provides extrainfo and GPGSA via JSR179, then after parseExtraInfo() everything needed is done and we don't to call the SE JSR fix there.

issue 196 (Trail recording records only one position) reported by DarthVeda   -   What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. start the program on sony ericsson K800i, with Holux M200 external bluetooth GPS receiver 2. Export folder is set on memory stick, and has map in offline cache 3. start recording 4. Stop recording after sometime. 5. Save the file in KML/GPX 6. View the file in google earth. What is the expected output? What do you see instead? The trail points should be seen, specified by the interval set in settings but only the END point is seen in trail, only 1 position gets recorded. What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? 1.15 Beta as well as 1.14. Please provide any additional information below. export folder resides in memory stick, along with offline cache file locale is english, units is in KM, all options are displayed like co-ords, speed, heading, etc.. max positions to draw is 200 drawing style is draw the whole trail (but this doesn't work on display) WGS84 is chosen Draw OSM maps is chosen

CacheCreator (A guide to creating map caches on a PC) Wiki page commented on by groppo8   -   Hello. As commented before, a program similar to JTileDownloader but actively developed, easier and (IMHO) more complete than JT is [http://trekbuddyatlasc.sourceforge.net/ TrekBuddy Atlas Creator]. With it you don't have to copy and paste an Openstreetmap permalink from the browser, you just select the area with the mouse, directly from the application. It also supports a lot of map sources (OpenStreetMap, Yahoo, Google, Microsoft...). So, I've asked TrekBuddy Atlas Creator developers if they could add the output format required by MTE and, just few hours later, MTE support was in [http://sourceforge.net/projects/trekbuddyatlasc/develop SVN] (many thanks to the devs!). I've created working MTE map caches from both Openstreetmap and Google Earth.
