issue 408 (Fetch song lyrics) commented on by hugovk   -   It'll return something like this, and yes, luckily it does include an encoding (utf-8): http://lyricsfly.com/api/api.php?i=828166fe68a35862e-temporary.API.access&a=Sigur R %s&t=Hopp%polla In fact they use the same encoding for straight Latin characters. I was just going to do try displaying it in the simplest possible way, by writing to a text file, and opening it with CDocumentHandler, but I wouldn't be surprised if there were encoding problems doing that for international characters. It would be much better if we could re-use the biography thingy to display the lyrics too :)

issue 408 (Fetch song lyrics) commented on by gw111zz   -   Hi hugovk, Great start, that'll be a great feature to have! Does Lyricsfly return the lyrics with all sorts of international characters, does it tell you what the encoding is? I'm trying to get these kinds of characters to display properly for the artist bio feature. Maybe we can have a common utility API?

issue 555 (Missing scrobbles) commented on by christopherbing   -   One day last week I tried to bring up Mobbler, but it was unresponsive, not fully drawing the UI. I had to reboot the phone to get it working again. Is it possible that some kind of connection problem might cause this to occur? It might explain my missing scrobbles.

issue 524 (Misleading German translation) commented on by chain.shinra   -   "Du bist nicht dazu berechtigt, dieses Radio zu hören" might be the best between not too long and not too specific. But: It would still be the same problem. Basically if I enter an artist which doesn't exist, I get this message. So maybe something light "Es ist dir nicht erlaubt dieses Radio zu hören, oder es existiert nicht" would be best ("You are not allowed to listen to this station, or it doesn't exist")

issue 525 (Mobbler 0.07: volume controls not working on Nokia 5800/N97) commented on by vinitneox   -   ok. I'm using Nokia N97 with firmware V2.0 - It is necessary to start mobbler first and then the music player so that mobbler scrobble the music in the device. But when mobbler is running (in background or in focus doesn't matter) the play/pause, increase/decrease volume via headphone and side button is not working. the only way to increase/decrease volume, pause/play is by touching the screen. this problem occurs sometimes and sometimes everything works great.

issue 564 (Mobbler gets jammed on specific tracks, N97) reported by TomNuorivaara   -   What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Open Mobbler 2. Open Music Player and play a certain album (for me Devin Townsend - Addicted) and wait for a song or two. 3. Open Mobbler again and it's stuck on the first or second track. What is the expected output? What do you see instead? With most of the music on my N97 Mobbler scrobbles just fine. But with at least one album it gets jammed. I have to shut down Mobbler to get it to scrobble again. At first I thought that maybe it was because there were the character '!' after every song title. I tried to remove them from the mp3 tags and it still got jammed. I also removed the '!'s from the file names but it didn't help either. What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? Mobbler 0.07(6187) and Nokia N97 v12 Please provide any additional information below.

issue 562 (Visit Last.fm is in the Friends' View list) changed by hugovk   -   Fixed in rc88489f4f3 by moving the commands for opening the webpage to the online section in the .hrh, so they're not added to the view submenu. This means if you try and visit a web page from the status view, it will also demand the username and password are present, when strictly speaking you don't need them. That's not a huge problem, and we should just get rid of that check anyway and make sure there's always a username/password. We'll fix that properly with a wizard in issue 563 .

issue 563 (Wizard to ask for missing login details) reported by hugovk   -   At the moment, the commands are segregated in mobbler.hrh: some commands require a Last.fm username and password to be stored in the settings. This is stop the app going online if they're not yet present. Let's get rid of this requirement, and instead check on launch if username/ password settings are present. If not, launch a little wizard to ask for them and store them. Bonus points for a thingy to launch the Last.fm website to register if the user wants to: https://m.last.fm/join

issue 559 (Show a QR code so a friend can scan and download Mobbler) commented on by hugovk   -   The way I've implemented it (I'll check this in for you to see) is to just open the image using LaunchFileEmbeddedL() that uses CDocumentHandler. This opens an embedded image viewer, it's very easy. But replacing the album art sounds good too. - It would be good to replace the QR code image as part of the build process. Or we could have a link like Tweets60 use that always points to the most recent release: http://tinyurl.com/twts60 => http://www.tweets60.com/download/latest.php That uses a PHP script, but I've just tested a simple meta refresh which works quite well: <html><head> <meta http-equiv="Refresh" content="0; url=http://mobbler.googlecode.com/files/ mobbler_0_7_6187.sisx"> </head><body> <p><a href="http://mobbler.googlecode.com/files/mobbler_0_7_6187.sisx">Download Mobbler</a></p> </body></html> Test QR code: http://bit.ly/3b6WCZ Of course, that would need updating for each release, but perhaps the build could generate the html file.

issue 560 (Add integration with Foursquare) reported by eartle   -   Foursquare have an API. It is documented here http://groups.google.com/group/foursquare-api/web/api-documentation It might be nice to add some integration with Foursquare and Last.fm events. Perhaps automatic check-ins for events, but other things may be possible.

issue 559 (Show a QR code so a friend can scan and download Mobbler) commented on by eartle   -   I think this would be best implemented with a button in tools that behind the scenes changes the album art to the QR code and turns on full screen album art on. Any key press or touch of the screen would then bring you back to the normal mode. I guess this makes making a release more difficult. Would there be some way of automatically adding the QR code image as part of the build process. Maybe we could use a make file to download it for us or something. What do you think?
