Mjoo is server software enabling artists to collaborate in composition of music online or in a private network. Mjoo targets semiprofessional musicians with gear at home and aims at providing all necessary tools to aid with a musical production from start to finish.

Artists can create, edit and publish musical pieces within their internet browser. All parts which make up a single piece of music are stored on the Mjoo server and can be reused and mixed at will.

To build musical pieces, artists have access to a variety of composition tools: a sequencer, a piano roll, a hard disk recorder, a sampler, a drum machine, an analogue synthesizer and various standard effect processors like chorus, reverb, echo, distortion.

Artists may upload SoundFont patches and samples to enhance their tracks.

Artists can publish mixdowns of their tracks on the server, automatically mixed down as either MP3, Ogg Vorbis or FLAC file. Artists can aggregate multiple tracks into Albums.

Artists may also publish only parts of their work, such as a set of samples or patches.

Multiple artists can work on a single piece of work simultaneously. Changes to the track will be saved back to the server, and published to collaborators within a few seconds.
