We hope to write a decent MediaWiki clone for Google App Engine.

Goals:

• Support MediaWiki edit syntax, including templates and "transclusion"
• Compatible import/export URLs
• Support categories, namespaces, subpages, Talk pages
• Maybe even the Robot Framework

Non-Goals:

• User preferences and skins, for now
• Running any existing MediaWiki code or extensions -- because PHP doesn't run on App Engine. We're rewriting in pure Python
