MiniMyth is a small GNU/Linux distribution that turns a diskless computer into a MythTV frontend and slave backend. It is built from source using a GAR based build system. It supports both network and local boot, with network boot being the primary boot method. It supports a range of hardware that is particularly well suited for use as a MythTV frontend, with a particular focus on NVIDIA ION and VIA EPIA hardware.
The MiniMyth build system, initialization scripts, runtime scripts and documentation are licensed under the MIT license. As is the case with every GNU/Linux distribution, the third party software packages (e.g. Linux, Xorg and MythTV) included in the MiniMyth Linux distribution are licensed under their respective licenses.
