Misleadingly, there are two projects named microwave one abandoned
Updated Jul 24, 2010 by Antimatter15

Introduction

Microwave started as a user-specific version of Wave Reader, but now it isn't.

Details

A tiny web based Google Wave client (implementation of reverse engineered json client/server protocol)

While its bad to use it as your only client, it has the advantage of being really fast and pretty easy.

It will have a very simple feel, with a minimal UI. As editing posts has not yet been reverse engineered, it will only allow reading of waves.

Also, instead of the image-heavy interface which is used in Google Wave, microwave will do everything, in the interface with HTML5/CSS3. For example, the blip layout will use CSS3 box-shadow and will closely mirror the Google interface, while using a fraction of the images (if any) while retaining a similar look and feel and also using a fraction of the number of DOM nodes to render.
