Purpose

The reason I chose javascript is because I want people to be able to use this offline. Thus, they can download this app to their laptops and -- as long as they don't shut down or close their browser -- be able to use it in a cafe or coffee shop. The only times they would need to connect to the server is when verses are updated or new verses are uploaded.

Currently, this is used for memorizing Bible verses (link is on the right), but it's extensible enough to be used for anything (ie, vocabulary, biology terms, etc).
