Originally reported on Google Code with ID 489

What steps will reproduce the issue?
1. MCM General
2. Export Collection to HTML

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Once box set directories are set up, the movies within them are no longer visible in
MCM, nor are they exported in the HTML collection report.

What is the exact version of the Media Center Master that you are using?
Make sure you include the build number (example: 1.24.21610.455).
v1.29 (build 2711.620)

Please provide any additional information below:
e.g.
\Movies\Die Hard Movies
\Movies\Die Hard Movies\Die Hard (Extended Version; 1988)
\Movies\Die Hard Movies\Die Hard 2 (1990)

All that I can see in MCM is the original item [Die Hard Movies]

Note, I have created a folder.jpg and mymovies.xml file in the boxset so that MediaBrowser
shows something when browsing the box set folder.

Would expect to see each movie, with or without the boxset folder.

Thanks.

If you add a mymovies.xml to the root folder of the box set MCM then thinks its a Film
folder, not a boxset folder. You can have anything you like in the root folder EXCEPT
a mymovies.xml...

just to clarify, i have a directory called "Alien v Predator Duology" in here i have
"AVP, Alien Vs. Predator (2004)" and "AVPR, Alien Vs Predator - Requiem (2007)" I also
have backdrop.jpg, backdrop1.jpg, backdrop2.jpg and MCM shows the films individually,
if you then put a mymovies.xml file in the same folder it will not.

Problem with that approach, is that MCM has re-created a default mymovies.xml file for
me, and the contained files are not showing again?

Note: create blank meta data is set in the options, but this is an option I want to
leave enabled for real movie folders... (i.e. would be better if it did not not create
one in box set folders).

Just re-tested this and same result.

No mymovies.xml in the folder (MCM prompted for a movie search though once I removed
the xml file).

The individual movies do not show up. See screenshot.
Note that the Die Hard movie shown is from a completely different movie share (so is
legit).

The boxset.xml file is preventing MCM from seeing this folder as a boxset.

Boxset folders must not include any meta-data at all, including .xml, .nfo, or .tag.

To this end, the next version of MCM will explicitly exclude 'boxset.xml' from this
kind of detection.

Fixed and waiting for next release.

Thanks, will update and test. Note the boxset.xml was only me messing about trying to
see what would and would not work.

Working better now, does not seem to auto-scan and create blank meta data :)
Thanks.
