What steps will reproduce the issue?
1. For a given series, delete a season banner (non-widescreen, or DVD like 
cover) and associated metadata folder so you have enough time to catch this.
2. Fetch that series.  At the beginning during the "Fetching season # 
banner...".  Look in Explorer at the folder.jpg and the correct non-widescreen 
version of the banner is fetched.  
3. When it finishes up with getting the episode metadata and advances to "Done 
with this show!" the folder.jpg is changed and is now a widescreen (Boxee/XBMC) 
type banner.


What is the expected output?  What do you see instead?


What is the exact version of the Media Center Master that you using?  Make
sure you include the build number (example: 1.24.21610.455).  With what
media software?  (MediaBrowser, XBMC, SageTV, etc.) 1.25.25210.437 and 
1.25.25410.654.  I don't have installers for the older builds so I can't test.  
I use MediaBrowser.  I do not have the options to retrieve the other types of 
metadata (Boxee enabled) and the other metadata filetypes for that software 
isn't being retrieved (.nfo)


Please provide any additional information below:
I'm using thetvdb.com as my TV fetcher.

I tested this and cannot verify.  I'll need specific details and possibly a log.

Hey Pete, this is the best I can do.  There's no log generated by MCM (only 
generates on error?)

Here's Process Monitor's output and the resulting folder.jpg.  I'm still using 
v1.25 (build 25410.654)

I've tried completely uninstalling MCM, blowing out the Registry settings, and 
removing the ProgramData folder.

Of course, I don't have the 1.26 installer so I had to go back to 
and auto-update won't pick it up.

I've attached the activity log after a full reinstall
Vista x64 SP2.

... Forgot to run as administrator to get the Update.
Experiencing the same issue in v1.26 (build 25610.421).

Cleared out metadata+background/posters/banner

Yep, I am experiencing the exact same issue.
I must say that its only doing that in tv series, movies are working great.

Yes! at least I'm not totally crazy

Are you seeing multiple folder.jpg writes?  Like in Explorer you can see the 
image change?  It seems like it writes series, them season, then widescreen 
banner

Reg entry CreateTVNFOMetaData is set to false
