Installation Notes
Please note this is very beta, this is for testers only. If you download please give back to the community by posting bugs. You will need to install and configure these packages in order to use mediabrowser RC: http://www.mediabrowser.tv/download (v 2.3.0) http://mediabrowserws.codeplex.com/~~ it's now integrated Once these are installed, download and install the latest release from here: http://code.google.com/p/mediabrowser-rc/downloads/list Once that's done, go to your phone and navigate in the mobile web browser to http://IPADDRESS:PORT/MediaBrowserService/web/pages/detect.html The IP address is the IP of the machine you installed mediabroswerWS on, the port is the port defined by mediabrowserWS, probably 40600. If you are upgrading please clear the cache on your iPhone |

im using version 0.3 and im currently getting no response from the web interface, just getting unable to connect, trying to use the following address:-
http://192.168.1.2:40600/MediaBrowserService/web/pages/detect.html
is there any other steps apart from running the installer?, i already have media browser 2.3.0 running and configured.
ok figured it out, media center must be running on the remote machine otherwise the web service is shutdown, probably worth mentioning in your installation notes :-)
i had to open the port in windows firewall 40600 now it works
Hi,
Thanks for the great work. Having similar problems to other users. Have installed MB v2.3.0 and mediabrowser-rc 0.3b. Port 40600 open (port forwarded on router and added exception in windows fireall). On launching MB get a "MediaBrowser? web service loaded susccessfully" message.
BUT....http://IPADDRESS:PORT/MediaBrowserService/web/pages/detect.html
gives no response. Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers
Just needed to change to port 8085 , and it works :-)
Same problem as others tried 40600 and 8085, opened both ports in windows firewall. no response. I'm using Android 2.2
Has there been any progress getting MediaBrowser?-RC working with version 2.3.2 of MediaBrowser??
what port do i have to configure on the firewall?
Hi guys... Can you change the port number somehow? Also how long should one wait for the database to load data on first run?
One other question, when I press Remote, I receive the message, "This cannot work in offline mode"... How does one go online so I may use it?
