CALM is a Maven based framework (well basically just a mighty cross corporate superPOM) which is capable of providing cross-technology and cross-customer Application Lifecycle Management support for Maven.

The idea is to gather and maintain centrally all Maven Enterprise best practices in order to ensure ease of use, so productivity and stability to application developers.

And BTW, it's a recursive acronym which is always nerdy cool ;)
