There was a problem with the map file generation processed as discussed on our mailing list (see https://groups.google.com/forum/?fromgroups#!topic/mapsforge-dev/ntiVRbyF_OY ). Meanwhile the empty files have been regenerated and should be working again.

I have added Thailand, unfortunately the cloudmade seem to have pivoted and do not do OSM related stuff any more, so the links to their download servers are outdated.

To add other regions I need a polygon file and a start point (which should be the center of the capital or the region)

Thailand should appear with next rendering at start of month.

The automatic map generation for the download server is governed by the scripts in https://github.com/mapsforge/mapsforge-mapcreator.
For additional regions we need a polygon file (see the polygons folder) and a starting point (see xml/example-config.xml).

Also I see both centre-val-de-loire.map and centre.map.

@ludwigb can you have a look at it?

Removed the centre.map (it was an old map, our scripts just create new
ones, but do not eliminate old ones).

Added Corsica, will be made at next iteration.

The other French regions in the example config actually lie outside the
Europe polygon, so this would never work. If someone is really interested
in them, please supply a config file that extracts from planet.osm....

I pushed some changes on map-creator repository:

• Rename back France centre to its OSM default.
• Move France 'outside Europe regions' to inherit from planet osm. I tried to make them build inside the europe/france folder. Ludwig will this work?
• Update the related polygons in case we had errors.

Building the territories from the planet.osm should work. I put that on the
server and we will see.

Only thing that worries me is that playing directly with planet osm can have speed impacts.
We could improve that by using the created continent pbf, though then not sure about the target folder.
