Maps4Mac

An offline map browser for for Mac built with PyObjC and Mapnik.

The primary purpose is to render and search OpenStreetMap data in a SpatiaLite or PostGIS database, but any mapnik XML file can be rendered.

Loading gpx and kml files, as well as GPS tracking using GPSd are supported but there's no routing yet.

Requirements:

• MacOS 10.6
• Mapnik (http://dbsgeo.com/downloads/):
• Mapnik 7.1 for Snow Leopard, install the Mapnik_Framework.pkg version that uses the system python install
• KyngChaos GIS Frameworks (http://www.kyngchaos.com/software:frameworks):
• GDAL_Complete-1.7
