If you use Mail.app, which is the default email application on Mac OS X, you will know that you can subscribe to RSS/Atom Feeds. This is all well and good, except when you come to exporting those feeds if you'd like to start reading your feeds through another feed reader (such as OpenLink Data Space Feed Manager, Google Reader or NetNewsWire).

MailAppToOPML is a small script which turns Apple Mail.app's proprietary newsfeed subscription format into OPML. Allowing you to import all of your feeds into another system!

It is made for Mail.app on Mac OS X 10.5, it has not been tested on previous versions. It's developed entirely in the Ruby Programming Language (note... not Ruby on Rails... Ruby != RoR)

This project was developed by me, Daniel Lewis. It's my own project, fully public under an Open Source License called LGPL (meaning, practically, you can use it however you like... I don't mind).
