Now MagicWars dev team works on another MTG project. You can find us at http://code.google.com/p/mage/

MagicWars (MW) is a Magic The Gathering based game implemented using Java technologies that can be played via internet. At the moment it also has Scripting Engine so you can create your own cards and basic AI to play versus Computer.

17.07.2010 Version 1.3.4 main features:

  • new card layout (auto sorting, resizing, animation effects)
  • new cards: 1111
  • new decks: Esper Control, Jund, Turboland, Phyrexia vs the Coalition, Divine vs Demonic
  • enhanced Groovy Scripted Cards engine
  • sound
  • various performance improvements (net and script loading)
  • lots of other enhancements and fixes

Patches Version 1.2.0 pre-alpha to 1.2.0 alpha, patch1

  • bug fixes (reported by players, the list was posted on forum)
  • ~30 new cards

too many changes and too less time to test them, that's why it is pre-alpha.
and post any bugs into the forum and they will be fixed as soon as possible

main features:

  • initial scripting engine (you may create your own cards)
  • base AI with 3 decks
  • sideboarding between games (not working with AI)
  • printings supporting
  • some game parameters moved to rules.properties
  • default skins
  • new ~80 cards
  • new decks: Worlds-2009-Naya-Lightsaber, Worlds-2009-LD-by-Bernhard-Lehner, Eldrazi-Green-by-Kali-Anderson, Madness-UG-Odyssey-Block
