Just some random thoughts below.

  • An undo hold-and-slide interaction like the mac system volume adjustment could be fun.
  • The iterm2 nightly build has a UI for color scheme changes, people might also like that idea. https://gitlab.com/gnachman/iterm2/issues/5281. I have no idea how difficult geting previews might be, could be tough.

IMHO, in the good spirit of VIM being extensible, the ideal solution could be a new toolbar named TouchBar, then, users can customise it by using commands like:

:amenu icon=FooIcon TouchBar.Foo :echo "Foo"<CR>

Or, maybe, just move the existing toolbar to the Touch Bar with some new config (similar to "statusline").

I would love to code it and submit a PR, but I don't have a MacBook with Touch Bar... :(
